Superior chamber music played by leading members of the world-renowned Prague Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy popular selections from well loved Czech and world composers performed by the Smetana Ensemble against a backdrop of Vltava river, Prague Castle and Charles bridge.
Up-close, limited seating event offering an intensive musical experience provided by sublime soprano and engaging string quintet includes also some of the world famous opera arias by Mozart and Dvořák. This time, they'll be paired with Advent songs and Christmas tunes by A. Michna of Otradovice, Leroy Anderson and John Reading. With the event's close proximity to the Vltava River, the symphonic poem of the same name by Bedřich Smetana cannot be left out. Not to be missed!
Concert takes place in the Bedrich Smetana museum and audience members can learn about this fascinating composer while being exposed to the documents and relics of his life. Before the musical program there is a possibility to visit the permanent exhibition of the museum.
